Alain Fiocco

Alain Fiocco has 40 years of experience in Internet Networking technologies and 15 years in Cloud Computing technologies, Infrastructure and Services. He has extensive technical knowledge in IP and Internet protocols design, Cloud computing infrastructures, operations and services. He also has extensive knowledge in the business and products aspects of Telecom and Cloud industry.

Prior to becoming senior technological expert at DECISION, Alain occupied, for over 30 years, international top Technology Executive positions of at Alcatel, Cisco and OVHcloud (both in EMEA and in USA). Alain was Executive Vice President at OVH Cloud and CTO at Cisco were he led a group of 500 engineers, architects and product leaders, across Europe, India & North America to develop the Product Business Unit. He was also in charge of the strategic alliances and led the Conformance and Certification programs (ex: ISO27001/17/18, SecNumCloud, C5, PCIDSS, HDS, HIPAAn, etc.).

At Cisco, Alain was Senior Director R&D directly referring to the CEO and he founded the Cisco Paris Innovation and Research Lab (Cisco PIRL). He was especially in charge of driving the R&D activities in terms of Research, Prototyping, Publishing, Patenting, as well as steering new and innovative technologies into Standard bodies (IETF), Early adopters and mainstream Cisco product fabric.

Between 2006 and 2012, Alain Fiocco led the Cisco France Trust Office In charge of certification and qualifications of Cisco Products with French authorities.
Alain’s technological and business knowledge are rooted through real-life experiences as a CTO and CPO positions with extensive technical knowledge in IP and Internet protocols design, Cloud computing Technologies, infrastructures, operations and services.

Alain is also advisor for CxO of large and small companies in Cloud, Network or Cyber Security industries, as well as investment firms in the context of private equity or M&A.

Alain Fiocco holds an engineer degree in Computer Science of the Institute of Information Science and Technologies (ISTI) part of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). Alain also holds a technology training degree of Software Engineer from the NCR.
