Laurent Gouzènes
Expert in Advanced IT and AI
Laurent Gouzènes acts as an expert in advanced computing and AI, electronics and robotics. Thanks to his professional experience of more than 35 years acquired in public research (CNRS and ONERA), but also in industry, including start-ups and SMEs, Laurent is also involved in optimizing financing and setting up industrial projects and the expertise of technical projects in the scientific fields.
Since 2010, Laurent has been carrying out consulting assignments on strategic projects (business creation, fundraising, etc.) and has been developing IT services and tools for knowledge management and productivity improvement (intelligent assistant) via KM2 . At the same time, he was scientific advisor to Parliament (2007-2016), Member of the office of the MEDEF Innovation Research Commission (organization of several sessions on AI in business) and gives courses at the Toulouse Business School and at the Mohamed VI University on Knowledge Management.
From 1993 to 2010, Laurent Gouzènes was Director of R&D programs and public affairs at STMicroelectronics where he was in charge of developing the network of partner laboratories (> 150 cooperations), setting up research projects. He was a member of the National Council for Higher Education and Research (CNESER) with the Minister of Research at that time.
From 1981 to 1984, Laurent was a researcher in robotics at the CNRS-LAAS (Researcher in artificial intelligence, robotics and image processing) then from 1984 to 1987 a researcher in advanced computing at ONERA/CERT as well as a researcher in computer science / intelligence artificial, expert systems.
Laurent Gouzènes is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique (X81), with a DESS in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence and a DEA in Automatics (Toulouse). He is a Doctor-Engineer in Automation, robotics mention from the CNRS and the University of Toulouse.
