Patrick Langlois
Expert in semiconductor technologies for the defense and space markets
Patrick Langlois combines both solid expertise in semiconductor technologies and know-how in business development & marketing for the defense and space sectors.
Patrick Langlois was responsible for the “components” activity within the R&D entity of the European Defense Agency (EDA) from 2016 to 2023. He contributed to setting up intra-European cooperation projects between ministries of defense, manufacturers, centers of research and universities and led a vast network of experts. In this context, he evaluated the proposals and put in place the corresponding contracts.
Patrick Langlois has a sound knowledge of the European institutions and the project financing processes.
Previously, Patrick Langlois spent part of his career as an expert in the fields of microelectronics and semiconductors (Thales, Alcatel microelectronics, STMicroelectronics) and the other part as business development manager for defense and aerospace companies (Thales, FN Herstal, John Cockerill Defense, Thales Alenia Space / ETCA).
Patrick Langlois has international experience, acquired particularly in Europe – Belgium, France, Netherlands and Poland – in the defense and space sectors, as well as in North America – US and Mexico – in the defense sector.
Patrick Langlois holds a post-graduate doctoral degree in instrumentation and measurements from the University of Rouen, as well as a master of sciences NVQ level 5 in electrical engineering, electronics and automation from the University of Rouen.
